Spa Week Plus Organic Skin Care Equals Sustainability

by Elisha Tomberlin, Licensed Esthetician, Viva Day Spa

I have to admit that a huge part of choosing to work at Viva Day Spa was my love for one the skin care lines that I would be using: Eminence Organics.  This product line was founded in Hungary over 40 years ago and maintains a commitment to all natural, organic and environmentally friendly practices that include sustainable farming and 100% solar and wind power energy. All of their products are farmed by manual labor, hand made and packaged in recycled materials using European certified premium quality herbs, fruits, and flower buds.  Plus, they are free of parabens, mineral oils, petroleum and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.  Click here to learn more about the company's green factor.

Eminence is now touting a new level of commitment to sustainability with the launch of their biodynamic line.  According to Eminence, biodynamic farming:

must meet all organic standards, such as the prohibited use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fungicides. The biodynamic approach goes even further, requiring disciplined soil enrichment, labor-intensive fieldwork, constant observation, and ongoing, intuitive awareness. A biodynamic farmer maintains a close connection with the land and develops a self-contained ecosystem, harmonizing the cultivated land with the surrounding environment where, ideally, only farm-produced organic composts and manure amend the soil and pruning, planting, and the applications of special preparations are done with the lunar cycles.

You can find more in depth information about biodynamic agriculture at the Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association website.

I have admired this product line since the very first time it was introduced to me.  The luscious scents, luxurious spa quality, and edibility of the all natural ingredients are enticing, to say the least.  Their facial masques are absolutely divine.  Some of my favorites include the Sour Cherry Masque, Stone Crop Masque, and Pink Grapefruit Clarifying Masque.   I also love, love, love the Wild Plum Eye Cream.   All of these products are concentrated and require dilution, meaning,  water is not on the ingredients list:  You are not paying for water.  This makes the product line highly economical since you are in control of the dilution.  With each application, you can mix a little or a lot of water, controlling how much use you get from each container of cleanser, masque, moisturizer and eye cream.  The products are so exquisite, you'll want to slather them on, but don't!  A little goes a long way.  You can actually see the fresh fruit pulps, seeds and smell the herbs.  You'll want to eat it, and I won't tell anyone if you do.  I've done a little sampling, myself:  The Apricot Sugar Scrub that's in my shower is totally yummy and nutritious.

Now that you are dying to experience these products for yourself, I have some great news:  Spa Week is April 13-19, 2009.  Participating spas offer incredible deals.  During spa week, you can experience full service spa treatments, normally costing $100 to $200, for just $50.  At Viva Day Spa, I will be providing an All Organic Facial with Organic Lip and Eye Treatments, using products from the Eminence Organics line.   The math is easy:  Spa week saves you money on some much deserved pampering and supports local spas.  Add to that an organic skin care experience that replenishes and nurtures your skin and your spirit, and that equals a better quality of life which, in part, supports environmental sustainability.

New Year Destined For Heartbreak?

Ever since my last entry, I've decided that it would be best for me to testking 70-640 just... move on. I convinced myself that if Jonathan really loves/loved me, he would come back. Like the saying goes: "If you love something let it go, and if it comes back its yours forever." So thats exactly what I did. Its a new year, and its time for a fresh start. So anyway, I finally agreed to date this guy whos been trying to get at me for some time now. We talked about testking 70-290 everything. He told me what he wanted in a relationship and i told him what i wanted. We both agreed that if we were going to be together that we would tell eachother everything. We talked for hours about past relationships, his never-ending drama with his baby-mamas, his kids, my exes his exes, his feelings for me, everything. i'm comfortable around him and i can talk to him about anything testking certification exam and vice versa. To be honest, he's everything i could've ever ask for in a man, a good man. Great right?
